Richard S. Bernstein, D.D.S., F.A.G.D., P.L.L.C. received his dental degree from the University of Detroit in 1985.  He maintains a private practice in Farmington Hills, MI with a heavy emphasis on aesthetic restorative procedures. He received a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology from Oakland University in 1973, and a Masters degree in Biochemistry from the WSU School of Medicine in 1976.

He is an accredited member of the American Society for Dental Aesthetics (the only one in Michigan).  He has been a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry since 1991, and a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry.

He has given numerous talks on smile design and aesthetic procedures. His background in biomedical research has enabled him to carefully analyze many of the newer materials available. In addition, he is able to consistently improve on dental techniques by assessing the results of new materials and incorporating the better ones within his practice.
