Practice Mission

Dear Patient and Friend,

Yes, the words patient and friend can go together. One visit to our friendy office and any fear you have of going to the dentist will disappear.

Sometimes just a little knowledge of what to expect takes away the fear. So when you arrive, you will sit back and watch an informative video on the procedure you are about to undergo.

I care just as much about your comfort as I do a dazzling smile. Going to the dentist does not need to be a painful ordeal. I will make every effort to minimize any discomfort.

Because your time is valuable, each appointment is scheduled so I have the time it takes to give you the individual attention you deserve.

My many years of experience and consult research and development in this field, has enabled me to provide my patients the most current dental techniques practiced anywhere in the country.

Whether it's a simple filling, precision crafted crown or a restorative/cosmetic enhanced new smile, every procedure is given the same attention to detail.

I am here to care for your smile...and you to.

Every time....every procedure....every patient.

Yours,

Dr. Richard Bernstein

The latest addition in High Tech

Our office is outfitted with some of the most State-of-the-art dental technology available.  The following are just some of the tools we have implemented in our office to help us provide you the patient with the latest in Diagnosis and treatment for that great smile.

Laser Detection System for Cavities (Diagnodent)

This laser technology aids in the detection of hidden cavities in a quicker and comfortable method more accurate than traditional means.

The Diagnodent uses a laser light to detect and quantify demineralized tooth substances (decay) without x-ray exposure.  Since studies have shown that up to 50% of decay may go undetected; early detection can often reduce the larger and more costly procedures as well as fewer appointments in the dental chair.

Intra-Oral Camera

This mini-camera takes close-up views and photos of the teeth and gums.  The images are displayed on a computer screen allowing the patient to see what the dentist sees (cavities, cracked teeth, defective fillings, discoloration’s, receding gums, tarter buildup, bleeding and red swollen gums).  This allows the patient to help make educated decisions about their own dental needs.

Electric Handpiece (drill)

The latest development in dental handpieces is electrically driven instead of by compressed air (air turbine).  This type of drill has a number of advantages over air driven drills.  It is somewhat quieter, but runs at a higher torque for less injury to the teeth with much greater precision.

Multimedia Patient Education (The CASEY interactive system)

This is a computer run software, which allow the dentist and team to educate the patient in a clear and visual manner on most dental procedures.  You the patient can view the many modules educating yourself on a variety of cosmetic and general dental topics.  Each dental procedure is explained as to what? And Why? It is being performed.

Computerized Digital Radiography (Digital X-rays)

This technology allows for instant x-rays, which the images can be stored on the computer.  There are no uncomfortable x-ray films cutting into the gums, no processing and waiting for the films, and up to 90% less radiation exposure to you the patient.  The images of your teeth are viewed on a computer screen and can be enhanced for greater resolution and allowing for better diagnostics.

Zoom Advanced Power One-Hour Teeth Whitening

The Zoom! Is an in-office Whitening System that can dramatically whiten your teeth in just over one hour.  This technique is ideal for anyone looking for immediate results as compare to days of wearing trays, which lighten teeth gradually.  This is the perfect choice for busy individuals. The Zoom! Whitening process is simple and painless.  The lips and gums are isolated and a proprietary Zoom! Whitening Gel is applied to the teeth and activated with a specially designed light.  Teeth typically become six to ten shades lighter.  The procedure is completed with a five-minute fluoride application.  The Zoom! Gel gently penetrates the teeth removing deep stains and discoloration without harming any tooth structure.  Occasional at-home touch ups are necessary to maintain your whiter, brighter smile.  The need for touch-ups depend on the individual habits of each person; i.e. proper dental care, intake of foods which can stain the teeth.
